
No. 4 Pitt Drops First ACC Contest of Season at UNC

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 4 Pitt men's soccer team fell to North Carolina, 3-0, at Dorrance Field Friday evening.
NEWS & NOTES
Jimenez scored his second goal of the night in the 54th minute from just outside the six yard box, making it 2-0. North Carolina converted its third goal (3-0) via penalty kick in the 67th minute.
North Carolina led in shots, 8-3, and corner kicks 7-3. All three of Pitt's shots and corner kicks came in the second half.
The Panthers return home and host Boston College Saturday, March. 13. Kick-off begins at 7 p.m. with coverage on the ACCNX.
NEWS & NOTES
- The 3-0 defeat is the first scoreless loss for the Panthers since Nov. 24, 2019 against Georgetown in the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
- Pitt suffered its first conference loss of the season. It entered tonight 4-0 in league play.
