PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh wrestling team begins its 2021 postseason on Sunday with this season's ACC Championship, which will be hosted by NC State at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, N.C.
The Panthers, ranked No. 16 by the NWCA Coaches Poll at the conclusion of the regular season, have a lineup that could be well suited to tournament wrestling over the next few weeks.
Pitt's Micky Phillippi (133 pounds), Jake Wentzel (165 pounds) and Nino Bonaccorsi (197 pounds) each received ACC No. 1 seeds after voting by the league's coaches was taken into consideration.
