Coca Earns Fourth Uneven Bars Title of Season
TOWSON, Md. – Katrina Coca picked up her fourth uneven bars title of the season as the Pitt gymnastics team (4-6-1) earned second place in a quad meet hosted by Towson (5-8) alongside LIU (0-4) and No. 24 North Carolina (7-1) Friday evening at SECU Arena.
With a score of 193.875, Pitt was runner-up behind the Tar Heels (195.000), and ahead of Towson (193.700) and LIU (188.075).
Coca earned the bars title with a career-high-tying 9.900 in the event. It marked her second consecutive title on bars, and her fourth of the 2021 season. She has posted a 9.900 on bars twice in her career, the last time on April 7, 2018, prior to her transfer to Pitt from the University of Kentucky.
Coca's bars score ties Pitt's highest individual mark in any event this season, matching junior Katie Chamberlain's 9.900 on bars against No. 23 Kent State (Jan. 24).
FLOOR
Senior Jordan Ceccarini led the Panthers on floor exercise with a 9.750. Two Panthers followed with scores of 9.725: junior Olivia Miller and freshman Trinity Macy. Macy's score marked a career high for the freshman. Sophomores Lauren Beckwith and Emily Liszewski rounded out scoring with totals of 9.675 each. Pitt's first rotation team score came to 48.525.
VAULT
With a five-gymnast lineup, Pitt totaled 47.750 for the second rotation on vault. Beckwith led Pitt with a career-best 9.725, followed by Chamberlain with a 9.700. Liszewski contributed a 9.575, Miller had a 9.550, and Ceccarini posted a 9.200.
BARS
Coca won the uneven bars with a career-high tying 9.900, reaching the score for the third time in her collegiate career. She achieved a 9.900 twice while at Kentucky, last on April 7, 2018. Chamberlain followed with a 9.800, and Macy contributed a 9.775. Miller and Beckwith went 9.700 and 9.6.75, respectively, to complete the top scores. Pitt's three-event total came to 145.125 after a 48.850 showing on uneven bars.
BEAM
Chamberlain had Pitt's top score on beam with a 9.800, with Coca and Miller each recording 9.750. Junior Kiley Robatin and Beckwith each posted a 9.725 to complete scoring for the Panthers. Pitt ended the day with a 48.750 score on beam to bring its final overall score to 193.875.
ALL-AROUND
Both Beckwith and Miller competed in the all-around, with Beckwith taking fourth place with a career-high 38.800, and Miller taking fifth place at 38.725.

Pitt will stay on the road to visit Brookville, N.Y., for a quad meet hosted by LIU, alongside New Hampshire and Towson.
