Outside Hitter Records Back-to-Back Double-Doubles for Pitt
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh of the No. 3 Pitt volleyball team (26-2, 15-2 ACC) was named the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Co-Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday.
Member-Meneh's honors are her first of her career. She is the third Panther to receive the accolades this season, following classmates Kayla Lund (Sept. 7) and Chinaza Ndee (Sept. 14).
The St. Louis, Mo., native earned the recognition following impressive performances on the road against No. 13 Georgia Tech (Nov. 19) and Clemson (Nov. 21). She led the Panthers with 4.14 points, 3.71 kills and 3.29 digs per set on .400 hitting for the weekend. The six-rotation player recorded double-doubles against both of Pitt's opponents, bringing her season total to a team-best eight.
She led Pitt with 16 kills against the Yellow Jackets on .324 hitting from the outside and added 12 digs. Her efforts helped the Panthers earn their fifth win against a Top 25 opponent this season, securing revenge after Georgia Tech handed Pitt its first loss of the season (Oct. 10).
In the following match against Clemson, Member-Meneh hit a season-best .556 from the outside with 10 kills and zero errors on 18 swings. The Panthers swept Clemson to earn their eighth consecutive win.
Up next, the third-ranked Panthers will return to Pittsburgh for a highly anticipated, Top 5 rematch with unbeaten No. 1 Louisville (26-0, 16-0 ACC) Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Fitzgerald Field House. Tickets are available at PittsburghPanthers.com.
