PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh wrestling team will face another back-to-back challenge over the next two days as the No. 15 Panthers face Lehigh and Maryland in a pair of exciting duals.
After edging Buffalo and Edinboro last weekend, Pitt heads to in-state rival Lehigh for a 2 p.m. start on Sunday and hosts Maryland at 6 p.m. on Monday for the home opener at Fitzgerald Field House. The Pitt-Lehigh dual will be streamed on FloWrestling, while ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) will have coverage of Pitt's opening home match of the season.
Pitt, ranked No. 15 this week by the NWCA Coaches Poll, travel to Bethlehem as Pitt legends Keith Gavin and Pat Santoro meet as coaches for the matchup between the Panthers and Mountain Hawks (1-1).
Lehigh leads the all-time series with Pitt on the mat, 44-19-2, but the Panthers have won the last two. Pitt defeated the Mountain Hawks, 24-9, last January at Fitzgerald Field House.
