No. 10 Pitt Returns Home, Hosts UMass Monday Evening

PITTSBURGH – The No. 10 Pitt men's soccer team hosts non-conference opponent UMass for the first of two-straight at home to close out the regular season Monday evening at 7 p.m.

- The Panthers and Minutemen meet for the first time in program history Monday.
- This is the second Atlantic 10 opponent the Panthers will face in 2021, previously meeting Duquesne in the season opener.
- Head Coach Jay Vidovich is 1-0-0 all-time against UMass.
- UMass enters the contest with an overall record of 8-3-4 and Atlantic 10 mark of 2-2-3.
- The Minutemen recently played to a scoreless draw at Duquesne Saturday evening.
- Filippo Begliardi Ghidini enters with eight goals, good for 22nd in the nation and third in the A-10. He leads the team with 19 points (8 goals, 3 assists) with four of his eight goals game-winners.

- The tie was the first for Pitt since Sept. 27, 2019 at Syracuse (1-1).
- The Panthers extended their home winning streak to 16 games with a 3-2 victory over No. 3 Duke Saturday, Oct. 9.
- Pitt's 16-straight matches won at Ambrose Urbanic Field is currently the most at any home venue in the conference. Clemson previously held that title with 31-straight wins at Historic Riggs Field before Pitt defeated them 2-0 Sept. 25.
- Pitt's last home loss came Oct. 4, 2019 against No. 20 North Carolina (2-1).
- Head Coach Jay Vidovich is 25-15-3 at home in six plus seasons at Pitt and is 16-2-1 in the past two seasons at Ambrose Urbanic Field.

- In the past two seasons, the Panthers are 22-0-1 when scoring first.
- Dating back to 2016 in Jay Vidovich's first season as Pitt's head coach, the Panthers are 47-6-1 in games they score the first goal.
