Panthers Compete Saturday Afternoon at Vartabedian Field

PITTSBURGH – The Pitt softball team played a pair of fall games against Robert Morris and Fairmont State Saturday afternoon at Vartabedian Field.
Sophomore Cami Compson, freshman Haylie Brunson and freshman Rachael Fuerst each hit solo home runs. Fuerst completed the day with two RBI against Fairmont State. Redshirt freshman Dani Drogemuller totaled seven strikeouts for the afternoon.
Pitt's double-header against Ohio State, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 3 has been canceled due to inclement weather in the Columbus, Ohio, area.
Pitt is back in action for its final two games of the fall season Saturday, Oct. 9 against Saint Francis. The Panthers and Red Flash will play two games beginning at 1 p.m.
