• Pitt hosts Boston College Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the Petersen Events Center. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. on AT&T SportsNet and other Regional Sports Network affiliates with Tim Brando and Dan Bonner calling the contest.
• Coaching staffs from both programs will wear ALS lapel pins to help raise awareness for the cause. The Pitt and Boston College programs are both actively involved in the fight against the disease. The Panthers also participated in local Walk to Defeat ALS and CEO Soak events.
• Pitt, coming off a win over North Carolina Saturday, is looking for back-to-back ACC regular season wins for the first time since Feb. 8-11, 2017 when it topped Boston College and Syracuse in consecutive games.
• Trey McGowens (13.3 ppg.), Xavier Johnson (12.2 ppg.), Justin Champagnie (11.1 ppg.) and Ryan Murphy (10.7 ppg.) combine for 47.3 points per game and 71.3 percent (851-of-1193) of the team's scoring.
