PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's basketball class of 2020 signees Tracey Hueston and Liatu King have been selected as nominees for the 2020 McDonald's All-American Games on April 1 in Houston, Texas.
A four-star recruit, Hueston signed her NLI to come to Pitt in November out of Northside High school in Roanoke, Va. The athletically-gifted forward averaged 18.9 points and 9.5 rebounds during her junior campaign while earning First Team Region D honors. She helped lead Boo Williams to the Nike EYBL Louisville Stop Championship earlier this summer. She is also the first Top-100 recruit to sign with Coach White at Pitt.
King signed with the Panthers in November and will join Pitt for the 2020-21 season after finishing out her career at Bishop McNamara High School in Maryland. The athletic wing has helped her team compile a 17-2 record so far this season while being ranked No. 9 nationally and No. 1 in the state of Maryland. As a junior, King averaged 9.0 points while earning Second Team All-WCAC honors. She led her AAU team, team Takeover, to the 2019 Nike EYBL championship this summer. The Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll member each of the past four seasons is also a member of the American Sign Language Honor Society.
Hueston is one of 14 nominees from the state of Virginia while King is one of 41 nominees from the state of Maryland to earn a spot on the list.
