Pitt Volleyball Setter Kylee Levers Sustains Season-Ending Injury

Redshirt Junior to Miss 2019 Season
PITTSBURGH – Redshirt junior setter Kylee Levers of the No. 12 Pitt volleyball team will miss the 2019 season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament, head coach Dan Fisher announced.
Levers sustained the injury during Thursday's team practice.
The Washington, Pa., native was a major contributor to the Panthers' back-to-back ACC Championship runs. In 2018, Levers helped secure the team's conference-leading mark of 13.78 assists per set, ranking fifth in the nation. She appeared in all but three sets last season as the Panthers reached the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year.
"Our hearts go out to Kylee, and we share in her disappointment," Fisher said. "She is an incredible player and a wonderful person. We know that she will come back from this stronger than ever."
The Panthers open the season at Fitzgerald Field House Aug. 30-31 with the Panther Challenge against Cleveland State, Cincinnati and South Carolina.
