
Panthers to Face Maryland and Michigan State in 2020 Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Pitt Will Travel to Clemson, S.C., for Big Ten/ACC Challenge
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Pittsburgh softball team will compete against Maryland and Michigan State in the 2020 Big Ten/ACC Challenge from Feb. 14-16, as announced by league officials Tuesday morning.
The Panthers will travel to Clemson, S.C., for the tournament, with the host-school Tigers entering their first year as a softball program.
Pitt's two opponents will come in the forms of Maryland and Michigan State. The Terrapins closed out the 2019 season with a 20-31 (4-19 B1G) record, while the Spartans finished the year with a 16-34 (4-18 B1G) mark.
Since the Challenge's inception in 2016, both conferences have drawn an even 70-70 record against each other in the tournament.
Pitt itself has also traded wins against its Big Ten foes, amassing a 6-6 record since joining the tournament in 2017.
