University of Pittsburgh Athletics

Thank You, Pittsburgh

I will never forget when I first got the phone call from the University of Pittsburgh asking me to come down and visit the campus. The feeling of my home town wanting me to represent the city I grew up in was something I remembered every time I stepped on the field and it was truly a blessing.
Stepping on to Charles L. Cost Field in a game for the first time is something I will never forget. Looking around, seeing my teammates and I represent the Pitt script, seeing the city skyline behind us was a moment I will always hold true to myself. The memories and lessons taught by the University of Pittsburgh will last a lifetime and this university will always have a special place in my heart.
To the athletic department, professors, staff, my friends, family and everyone else who has impacted my life thus far, I cannot express how thankful I am for you. Without each and every one of you, I would not be where I am today.
To all of my teammates, but really my brothers, I love every one of you guys and I truly wish all of you the best and most successful futures. Thanks for all the memories shared and moments that will last a lifetime. From shocking the nation together, to the grind that we have endured – not one thing in this world could take that from us.
To the coaching staff, I never thought I would be fortunate enough to be in the position I am today. I give every last bit of credit to you all. Day in and day out, you never let me take a day off and helped me to pursue the best possible version of myself. It was an HONOR to represent the university every day and thank you for that opportunity.
I am truly going to miss the country songs blaring, walking up to the plate and hearing my name over the loud speaker. The rush of adrenaline and feeling of power was never to be taken advantage of. Stepping onto Charles L. Cost Field to play the game of baseball was a moment to savor forever.
To current and future Pitt baseball players, not only do I wish you the best and can't wait to see the outcomes of your hard work, but please enjoy and prosper with every moment you wear that uniform because in the swing of a bat, it'll only be a memory.
University of Pittsburgh, thank, you and as always Hail to Pitt!
