PITTSBURGH – Following the recent announcement of a new visual identity in collaboration with Nike Global Identity Group to rebrand Pitt Athletics, the University of Pittsburgh Athletic Department is partnering with Dimensional Innovations for the cohesive branding and graphic design of their athletic facilities.
The partnership will develop consistency in branding, signage, and specialty graphics in all of its athletics facilities and student-athlete spaces, impacting the overall experience for athletes and coaches, as well as enhancing recruiting efforts.
"With the official reveal of Pitt Athletics' new colors and marks, the next phase will be to do a full-scale rebrand of our facilities to tell the Pitt Athletics story," said Heather Lyke, Director of Athletics. "We are thrilled to sign on with Dimensional Innovations. Their ability to create an experiential environment that is uniquely tailored to their client is exceptional and we look forward to working together bringing the Pitt colors and marks to life."
Dimensional Innovations has worked with numerous collegiate athletic programs, and professional sports franchises to deliver a complete solution to experience design, planning, and branding. They are the industry leader in developing a holistic approach across all facilities, and are helping to change the way universities brand their athletic programs and facilities.
"Dimensional Innovations is ecstatic to be partnering with Pitt Athletics on this historic effort. The new visual identity established, in collaboration with Nike Global Identity Group, is a great tribute to the past, yet focuses on the future," said Drew Berst, Director of Collegiate Sports for Dimensional Innovations. "We can't wait to bring that story and the colors and brand marks into the built environment."
Pitt Athletics and Dimensional Innovations have already started establishing their branding priorities and initial needs, but the ultimate goal is bringing a cohesive and engaging look and feel to all athletic spaces that reflects the culture of Pitt Athletics and the new brand identity.
