The Panthers [4-25, 1-8 ACC] dropped their three contest to the Hokies [27-4, 8-1 ACC] this weekend, with Virginia Tech showcasing its high-powered offense in the sweep.
"I thought we did a better job coming out here today and fighting a battle," said head coach Jodi Hermanek. "I think that we controlled the controllable today a little better than yesterday and that is what we wanted to see - just work on us getting better today."
Redshirt sophomore Brittany Knight earned the start for Pitt, allowing 10 earned runs while striking out three in seven innings of work.
