Panthers to Host Two Free, Open Matches at Fitzgerald Field House
PITTSBURGH – The back-to-back ACC champion University of Pittsburgh volleyball team will host two matches at Fitzgerald Field House as part of its 2019 spring schedule, head coach Dan Fisher announced Wednesday.
"We put together a strong spring schedule to keep our team competing at highest level possible," Fisher said. "We wanted to schedule as competitively as we could, playing tough teams with good balance of what should be tough environments on the road. We're looking forward to welcoming our fans back to the Field House and showing them how hard we've been working this spring."
The Panthers will visit Penn State for a joint training session March 30 in University Park, before traveling to Hilliard, Ohio, for a match against Kentucky April 12. The match against the Wildcats will be played at Hilliard Davidson High School.
For its home matches, Pitt will host two Big Ten opponents, facing Maryland April 13, followed by Ohio State April 20. Both matches will start at 1 p.m. and will be open to the public with free admission at Fitzgerald Field House.
Prior to the Panthers' match against the Buckeyes, both teams will participate in a community service event at the VA Pittsburgh.
