Former Pitt Men’s Soccer Player Signs with National Premier League Club
PITTSBURGH – Former University of Pittsburgh men's soccer player Joshua Gaspari has signed with Gungahlin United FC (GUFC) of the National Premier League.
GUFC has a player base of over 1,600 athletes of all ages, with teams competing in the National Premier League, Masters, State League and Junior League competitive and non-competitive MiniRoos.
The club is the largest sporting association in the Gungahlin region, the largest football club in the ACT and one of the largest in Australia.
Gaspari has previous experience competing with Gungahlin's youth teams, playing on the club's U6 through U12 teams.
The Canberra, Australia, native is rejoining Gungahlin for his second stint with the 1st Grade team, and has previous experience working with current head coach Marcial Munoz.
Gaspari spent the past two years as a midfielder for the Pitt men's soccer team, appearing in 26 matches while making 14 starts. He recorded six points off of two goals and two assists, including one game-winner, during his Panther career.
