PITTSBURGH – Thirty-two members of the Pitt track and field team will compete at the 2019 ACC Indoor Championships, running from Thursday to Saturday at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, VA.

PITTSBURGH – Thirty-two members of the Pitt track and field team will compete at the 2019 ACC Indoor Championships, running from Thursday to Saturday at the Rector Field House in Blacksburg, VA.

- A live stream on ACC Network Extra will be up from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday.

- The Panthers' slate kicks off Thursday with the heptathlon at 11:00 a.m. followed by the pentathlon at 11:30 a.m. The women's distance medley relay will run at 6 p.m., followed by the men's at 6:30 p.m.
- Friday's events for Pitt will start with men's high jump at 12:00 p.m. and will run all day through the women's high jump at 6:45 p.m.
- Championships Saturday will begin with the women's mile run at 1:00 p.m. and conclude with the men's 4x400m relay at 4:50 p.m.

- The defending ACC Indoor champions, Florida State men, enter this week's meet holding the No. 9 spot in the latest USTFCCCA computer rankings. Three other men's programs are also ranked inside the top-50, Virginia (38), Notre Dame (40) and Virginia Tech (43).
- On the women's side, the defending ACC Indoor Champions from Florida State enter the week at No. 11 in the computer rankings. The host Virginia Tech Hokies come in at No. 20 in the rankings as well. Three other women's teams rank inside the top-50 including Miami (27), Louisville (32) and NC State (33).
- Several Panthers rank in the top 10 among ACC performances entering the league championships:

- Cobe Wiggins, heptathlon (3rd, 4,610 points)
- Shyheim Wright, 60m hurdles (5th, 7.97 seconds)
- Drew Glick, 800m (8th, 1:50.88)
- Noah Walker, weight throw (8th, 17.98m)
- Nate Sloan, 800m (9th, 1:51.02)
- Kollin Smith, long jump (10th, 7.22m)
- 4x400m relay (8th, 3:16.01)
- Distance medley relay (9th, 9:57.28)
- Women:
- Taylor Middleton, long jump (4th, 6.11m)
- 4x400m relay (6th, 3:41.79)
- Distance medley relay (10th, 11:39.01)
- The Panthers will vie for NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships qualification, set for Friday and Saturday, March 8-19, at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
