Pitt Earns Program-Best Six All-ACC Selections

Five Individual Panthers Name to All-ACC Teams
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Pittsburgh men's soccer team had a program record of six 2019 All-ACC selections as announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon.
Junior Edward Kizza was named to the First Team, junior Sito Sena and freshman Veljko Petkovic earned Third Team honors, while Petkovic was also an All-Freshman selection alongside Arturo Ordonez and Valentin Noel.
Kizza earns First-Team honors for the second time in his career and All-ACC honors for the third time as he was named to the All-Freshman Team in 2017. The Kampala, Uganda native is tied for second in the Pitt record book for career goals (30) and leads the team this season in points (26) and goals (11). Kizza has three double-scoring games and has found the back of the net on eight occasions.
Petkovic is having a standout freshman campaign, ranking second on the team in points (17) and goals (6). He becomes the first Panther in program history to make two All-ACC teams in the same year (Third/Freshman).
Sena, a defender out of Valencia, Spain, has been a solid force in Pitt's backfield since his arrival at Pitt one year ago. Sena started and played in 10 games this season, but has been sidelined due to injury. The defender is tied for third in points (9) after recording three goals and three assists this season.
Ordonez, another top Spanish defender, has played a major role in the Panthers' success this season. The freshman has started in 15 games this season, logging 1,411 minutes.
Noel has proven to be another major key to Pitt's offense, appearing in 15 games and tied for third in points (9) with three goals and three assists.
The 25th-ranked Panthers face No. 1 Clemson in the ACC Championship Semifinal tonight at 6 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field in Clemson, S.C.
