• Pitt is averaging 81.1 points per game on 47.6 percent (323-of-679) shooting from the field in its 12 wins. In comparison, the Panthers have averaged just 67.4 points on 39.2 percent (111-of-283) shooting from the field in their five losses.
• The Panthers are second in the ACC with 19.4 made free throws per game and have made 20 or more free throws in a game eight times. Freshmen Xavier Johnson (5.3) and Trey McGowens (5.2) combine for 10.5 made free throws per game, while shooting 81.4 percent (179-of-220) from the charity stripe.
