Panthers Announce Full Fall Slate

Pitt Set for Four Contests in 2018 Fall Season
PITTSBURGH – After announcing that the University of Pittsburgh baseball team will gear up for a fall ball meeting with rival West Virginia, head coach Mike Bell announced the Panthers' full fall slate Tuesday afternoon.
"The fall has always been about development and evaluating," said Bell. "What better way to do both than competing at a high level against outside competition. By scheduling these contests, it allows us to implement our style of baseball and continue to develop our student-athletes at the highest levels."
The Panthers will take part in a total of four outings in the fall, highlighted by games against regional foes Youngstown State and West Virginia.
The fall gets underway Monday, Sept. 24 with the first team practice of the season at Charles L. Cost Field. Pitt will take the field in game action Saturday, Oct. 6 against the Ontario Blue Jays and the following week, Friday Oct. 12 against the Toronto Mets.
Pitt will take part in its last game at Cost Field on Friday, Oct. 19, hosting Youngstown State at 5 p.m. The fall will conclude on Friday, Oct. 26 in the Fall Brawl at West Virginia at 6 p.m.
