Pitt Softball to Host Oct. 14 Camp

Panthers to Host 2018 Elite Prospect Camp Oct. 14 at Vartabedian Field
PITTSBURGH – University of Pittsburgh head softball coach Jodi Hermanek and staff have announced their upcoming camp to be held Sunday, Oct. 14.
The camp will be hosted at Vartabedian Field in the Petersen Sports Complex on Pitt's campus.
2018 Elite Prospect Camp
Date: Sunday, Oct. 14
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. [Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.]
Location: Vartabedian Field
Cost: $180
Who: Girls, Grades 8th and up
Description: This camp will be taught by the Pitt Softball program, where all aspects of softball, including pitching, catching, fielding and the mechanics and mental approach to hitting will be covered. Within this full day experience, half of the day will be devoted to teaching all of the skills, strategies and drills to help each player reach their respective softball goals. The second half of the day will be used to apply these skills in game situations.
Catchers must bring their own gear. Campers should bring with them cleats and turf/tennis shoes and a water bottle.
Campers will have one hour for lunch. Campers are responsible for providing their own lunch - no meals will be provided.
Campers must also bring all signed medical and consent documents. Camp participants will not be able to participate without signed documents.

All clinics are open to any and all entrants limited only by age, grade level and/or gender. The operations and activities for these clinics/camps are not owned or operated by the University of Pittsburgh.
