Regional Rivals Set for Fall Ball Meeting
PITTSBURGH – Head coach Mike Bell announced today that the University of Pittsburgh baseball team will travel to rival West Virginia on Oct. 26 for a fall ball meeting.
The two rivals, whose regular season history dates back to the 1939 season, will meet at Monongalia County Ballpark at 6 p.m. in a Friday night fall showdown. Admission will be free to the public.
"College athletics are all about traditions and rivalries and we are honored to announce the Fall Brawl," said Bell. "It is another outstanding opportunity for our student-athletes to experience one of the best rivalries in college athletics. Not only this a great way to close our fall practices, but it also prepares our student-athletes for the upcoming 2019 season."
The Panthers will announce their full fall schedule at a later date.
