PITTSBURGH – Pitt track and field is set to compete in its final meet before the ACC Outdoor Championships Thursday through Saturday: the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

The meet will kick off Thursday at 10 a.m. with the College Women's 400m Hurdles Championship and will run through the Panthers' last event of the day, the men's 5000m, at 9:25 p.m.
Friday's events will start at 9 a.m. with the College Men's 400m Hurdles Championship and will finish up with the College Men's Distance Medley Championship of America at 5:15 p.m.
The Panthers will complete the meet Saturday, beginning with the College Men's Javelin Throw at 9 a.m. and concluding with the College Men's 4x800m Championship of America Invitational at 4:30 p.m.

LAST YEAR AT THE PENN RELAYS

To close out the 2017 edition of the Penn Relays, the Pitt men's 4x800m relay team picked up a trophy at historic Franklin Field. The Panthers' squad of Nate Sloan, Matt McGoey, Billy Caldwell and Drew Glick championed the college section of the event with a time of 7:28.66.
The women's distance medley relay team of Miranda Salvo, Jordan Bourgeois, Makenzie Zeh and Joslin Sellers downed a 15-year standing school record (11:42.11) with a time of 11:40.79 in the College Women's Distance Medley Championship of America.

LAST TIME OUT

Freshman Greg Lauray reached new heights for Pitt as he tied the program record in men's high jump at the Virginia Classic at Lannigan Field Saturday.
The rookie recorded a mark of 2.16m (7'1") and was runner-up in the event behind Tennessee's Darryl Sullivan, who posted the same mark in fewer tries. Lauray's feat had not been achieved in 39 years, since Dan Goodyear set the school standard in 1979.

UP NEXT

Pitt will head to Coral Gables, Fla., for the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Cobb Stadium May 10-12.
