Panthers Leading Scorer Out Indefinitely Due To Blood Clots
PITTSBURGH – Pitt women's basketball head coach Lance White announced on Friday afternoon that redshirt senior guard Aysia Bugg will be out indefinitely due to blood clots. The Panthers leading scorer has missed each game during their current four-game winning streak.
Bugg started the first five games of the season for the Panthers at point and was averaging a team-high 14.0 points, 3.4 assists and 2.4 rebounds while also producing back-to-back 20+ point games against Youngstown State and Cincinnati. Bugg missed all of her 2017-18 campaign as well due to injury.
The Panthers return to action on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm as they welcome the West Virginia Mountaineers to the Petersen Events Center for a non-conference showdown.
