• Pitt hosts New Orleans Thursday, Dec. 20 in its final game before the holiday break. Thursday's contest is scheduled to tip at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
• Nine different players have scored in double figures for Pitt through 11 games with freshmen Xavier Johnson and Trey McGowens leading the way with 11 and seven double-digit scoring efforts, respectively.
• Four of Pitt's top five scorers are newcomers with first-year players accounting for 66.3 percent (556-of-839) of the team's scoring on the season.
• Pitt ranks second in the ACC (11th nationally) in field goal percentage defense (.375). The Panthers have held six opponents below 40.0 percent shooting from the field.
• The Panthers have won eight consecutive games and are 8-2 all-time against teams currently in the Southland Conference. Pitt topped Southland Conference foe Central Arkansas, 97-71, earlier this season.
