Pitt Joins Ranks with Wilson, Louisville Slugger, EvoShield
PITTSBURGH – Head coach Mike Bell announced Friday morning that the University of Pittsburgh baseball team will partner with Wilson, Louisville Slugger and EvoShield.
The Panthers will work with Wilson and the family of brands to provide student-athletes with fielding gloves, bats, batting helmets, catchers gear and protective padding.
"We have always said that we are a player's first program," Bell said. "There is no better way to show that then providing our student-athletes with the best equipment and experiences out there. We are very fortunate and proud to become the newest member of the Wilson/Louisville Slugger family."
Wilson is the Official Glove of the MLB and provides baseball products to various NCAA Division I institutions.
The Panthers are in the midst of fall ball, and will take part in their first exhibition on Friday, Oct. 12 as they take on the Toronto Mets at 4 p.m. at Charles L. Cost Field.
