PANTHERS UNITE!
- Saturday will be Pitt cross country's Panthers Unite event, where all Pitt student-athletes are encouraged to attend and cheer on their fellow Panthers. The event is free and open to all.
- The initiative is designed to showcase all 19 Pitt varsity sports teams together. One event from each of the school's 14 programs' schedules (combining men's and women's cross country, men's and women's indoor/outdoor track and field and men's and women's swimming and diving) was designated as the Panthers Unite promotion.

Competing for Pitt Saturday at the CMU Invitational at Schenley Park will be:
- Freshmen Meghan Bartel, Ally Brunton, Emily Burd, Katrina Durrwachter and Mikaela Vlasic
- Sophomore Sarah Frick and juniors Olivia Berry, Amanda Graber, Natalie Hilton, Erin Keelan, Stephanie Lednak and Emily Phillips
- Seniors Caroline DeFrank, Amy Kelly, Rebecca Peters and Melanie Vlasic
LAST TIME OUT
- Led by junior Emily Phillips, five Panthers placed in the top 10 to help Pitt win the Chatham Eden Hall Invitational Saturday. Phillips placed third in the 6K race with a time of 24:34.40. Classmate Stephanie Lednak was next for the Panthers, finishing sixth at 25:03.35. Sophomore Sarah Frick and junior Natalie Hilton took seventh (25:03.69) and eighth (25:07.54), respectively. Freshman Ally Brunton rounded out the top 10, coming in 10th at 25:14.46.
UP NEXT
- Both the men's and women's squads will compete at the Pre-National Invitational hosted by the University of Louisville Saturday, Oct. 14.
