Throughout the summer, members of the Pitt wrestling team utilized their time in the city by putting in hard work for the upcoming 2016-17 season.
Pitt returns five of six NCAA qualifiers from a year ago, including All-ACC selection Dom Forys. Throughout the 2015-16 season, the Panthers ranked among the top 25 for nine consecutive weeks after upsetting then-ranked No. 15 Wisconsin.
Pitt brings a strong freshman class to the table this season, ranking 11th in the country according to FloWrestling. Of the handful of newcomers, three rank among the top 60 in the nation in local products Austin Bell and Jacob Wentzel as well as New York native Christian Dietrich.
