Coach Aprile Announces Date for Softball Open Tryouts

PITTSBURGH - Head softball coach Holly Aprile has announced a tryout date for students interested in playing for the Panthers during the 2016-17 campaign.
Open tryouts will take place on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 5:30 p.m. The tryout will be held at Vartabedian Field which is located on upper campus within the Petersen Sports Complex.
Interested players must stop by the softball office in the Fitzgerald Field House on the first day of classes (August 29) to pick up the walk-on packet. A coach must sign the packet before leaving the office and no player will be allowed to tryout without completing this paperwork. The packet will also give players detailed instructions of what they need to do prior to tryouts.
