Eleven Panthers Qualify for East Region Championships

INDIANAPOLIS - Eleven members of the Pitt men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track East Region Championships Thursday, May 26 through Sunday, May 28 at the University of North Florida.

The select Panthers are among the top 48 student-athletes in their respective events in the east region. At the conclusion of the weekend, the top 12 competitors in each event will punch tickets to Eugene, Ore., for the Outdoor National Championships, June 8-11 at the historic Hayward Field.
