Sharp Earns Honorable Mention All-American on 3M

ATLANTA – Sophomores Amanda Richey and Meme Sharp competed in the second day of competition at the 2016 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Atlanta Friday as Sharp garnered All-America Honorable Mention accolades.
In the preliminary round of the 3M competition, the reigning ACC Champion posted a qualifying score of 309.80 to finish 15th and qualify for the consolation finals. Sharp went on to place fifth in the consolation finals with a score of 309.40.
Amanda Richey swam in her second event of the championships, taking to the pool for the 400 IM. The sophomore finished 47th with a time of 4:18.40.
Richey and Kaleigh Ritter will wrap up the championship event for the Panthers as both are set to swim in the 1650 freestyle tomorrow. Live results can be found here. Additionally, fans can watch the action for prelims here. Saturday’s finals will be streamed live on ESPN3.
Richey and Ritter are scheduled to compete on Saturday with the early heats slated for approximately 3:45 p.m. and final heats to conclude at 6 p.m.
