Q&A
What made you choose Pitt?
I chose Pitt because of the great education it had to offer. The city was new to me but it was something different and I wanted to experience that. I liked the coaches and knew a couple of teammates so to me it was the next best place to call home.
What are your biggest strengths as a player?
My endurance to never give up no matter how many runs the team may be down. Have to bring 100% all of the time and never quit.
What are some areas of the game you'd like to improve in?
The mental part of the game and not letting my thoughts get to me in the batter's box
What is your (intended) major?
Biology
What are three words that describe you?
Energetic, athletic, creative
What are your hobbies and interests outside of softball?
Hunting, riding ATVs, swimming and camping
Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
I have to always put my uniform on a certain way.
What are some of the differences between your hometown and Pittsburgh?
The way people talk and live. Almost everything.
If you could bring one thing from your hometown to Pittsburgh, what would it be?
The nature and everyone's accents.
What is the best advice you've ever been given?
To be successful in life and do not live life with regret. If you can close your eyes and see yourself without it then it's not important. To make sure whatever I do or decisions I make are for the better and if not to learn from them and become a better person and continue to grow every day.
If you could meet three people (past or present) who would you want to meet? Why?
1. Conor McGregor - he's awesome
2. Miranda lambert - my favorite female country singer
3. Bryce Harper - my favorite baseball player
If you could be a star in any sport, other than softball, which one would it be?
Basketball
Who had the greatest impact on your life? Why?
My Dad. He taught me how to be strong and independent. He pushed me to be who I am today and he taught me the wrong things in life and taught me the right things. He always pushed for excellence but made sure I was accountable for my mistakes. I look up to him and what he's accomplished and also look up to him to not make the mistakes he's made too.
