VIDOVICH ENTERS FIRST YEAR
PITTSBURGH - The Pitt men's soccer team (2-10-2, 0-5-1 ACC) concludes non-conference play Tuesday, Oct. 18, in Cleveland, Ohio, as the Panthers take on Cleveland State (5-6-2, 3-1-2 Horizon) for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Krenzler Field.

THE SERIES
- The series is tied 6-6-4.
- Pitt has dropped the past three meetings in 2015, 2011 and 2010.
- Prior to the three Panther losses, the teams tied in 2009 and 2006.
- Pitt's last win against CSU came in 2004, 3-2.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Panthers fell 3-0 to NC State Saturday, Oct. 15, in Raleigh, N.C.
- The Wolfpack netted three first half goals to secure the win.
SCOUTING THE VIKINGS
- In its last time out, Cleveland State earned a 1-0 victory over UIC Saturday, Oct. 15.
- The Vikings are paced by freshman Lawrence Karpeh with eight points (four goals) on the season. Close behind is junior Hesham Hammouda with seven points (three goals, one assist).
- In goal, time has been split between freshman Sebastian Kalk and senior Aleksandar Drobac. Kalk has appeared in eight games and started six, and has made 36 saves.
NEWS & INFO
- The Pitt roster sports five players from the state of Ohio including goalkeeper Mikal Outcalt (Strongsville, Ohio / St. Ignatius), defender Hunter Gordon (Olmsted Falls, Ohio / St. Ignatius), defender Kevin Murray (Lakewood, Ohio / St. Edwards), defender Craig Bair (Brecksville, Ohio / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) and defender Donny Deep (Powell, Ohio / Olentany Liberty).
- Freshman Luca Mellor continues to lead the Panthers with six points after scoring his third goal of the season Friday, Sept. 23, at Duke.
- Senior Matt Venanzi (two goals) and junior Roosevelt Angulo (one goal, two assists) have four points apiece, good for second-best on the team.
- Outcalt, a redshirt freshman, has appeared in all 14 games and has made 76 saves (.800). His total saves this season are the most in the ACC.
- The Panthers are in their fourth season as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
VIDOVICH ENTERS FIRST YEAR
- Head coach Jay Vidovich (274-129-53, 76-56-24 ACC) is in his first year at the helm of the Pitt men's soccer program.
- Vidovich, a two-time NSCAA Coach of the Year honoree, came to Pitt after spending 21 seasons at Wake Forest, which was highlighted by capturing the 2007 NCAA championship.
- Under his regime, Wake Forest won five Atlantic Coast Conference titles, compiling a 76-52-22 mark in one of the nation's most challenging leagues.
LOOKING AHEAD
- The Panthers return to Pittsburgh Friday, Oct. 21, for their final home game of the season. The ACC match against Virginia will serve as Senior Night where the four Pitt seniors, Sam Marks, Kevin Murray, Stephane Pierre and Matt Venanzi, will be recognized prior to the 7 p.m. kickoff.
- Pitt will conclude the regular season Friday, Oct. 28, on the road at Virginia Tech.
