Jordano to Join Panel on Youth Baseball

PITTSBURGH – Pitt head baseball coach Joe Jordano will participate in 93.7 The Fan’s town hall meeting on the future of youth baseball in America. The event is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in PNC Park’s Lexus Club.
Jordano will be joined by Pittsburgh Pirates president Frank Coonelly and other experts on the panel.
KDKA radio host Larry Richert will moderate.
The panelists will discuss topics such as: Have opportunities for casual baseball participation among children dwindled? Is there any way to reclaim those who have left the game behind in rural communities and inner cities? With the rise to prominence of exclusive high caliber travel teams and more competition than ever for children’s interest, how can the national pastime offer greater inclusion?
