Whittington, Wise and Johnson-Conley Highlight Action at Kent State

KENT, Ohio- Highlighted by Zoey Whittington winning the 200 meter dash, Alyssa Wise winning the 60 meter dash and Ashad Johnson-Conley taking second in the 60 meter hurdles, the Panthers tallied ten top-10 finishes at the Kent State Tune Up on Saturday..
In the team's final preparation for the ACC Championship Meet, Whittington ran her fastest collegiate time with a new PR of 24.38 en route to winning the 200 meter dash. Bryana Robinson notched a top-5 finish in the same race by placing fourth with a time of 24.91.
Wise set a PR in the 60 meter dash with a winning time of 7.55. In qualifying, she posted a then new PR of 7.57, before going two tenths of a second faster in the finals for the victory.
Also recording a new personal-best was Johnson-Conley in the 60 meter hurdles. After qualifying sixth in prelims with a time of 8.22, Conley-Johnson ran eight seconds flat in the finals and placed second overall. In the women's 60 meter hurdles, Khadeja Kearney placed fifth in a time of 8.85.
Dee Dee Adams also claimed a second place finish as she ran to a time of 10:24.14 in the women's 3,000 meter run.
Other Panthers tallying top-10 finishes included Evann Thompson in the women's 400 meter dash (56.69), Josh McDonald in the men's 400 meter dash (49.53), Ariel Pastore-Sebring in the women's mile (5:06.87), and Eric Stratman in the men's mile (4:20.15).
The mile times for Pastore-Sebring and Stratman were both personal records.
The Panthers now head to the ACC Championship Meet next week, February 26-28, at Virginia Tech. Pitt has 10 student-athletes who rank inside the ACC top-10 of their respective events heading into the meet.
