Coach Aprile Announces Date for Open Tryouts

PITTSBURGH - Head softball coach Holly Aprile has announced a tryout date for walk-ons interested in playing for the Panthers during the 2014-2015 campaign. Open tryouts will take place on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. at Vartabedian Field.
Interested players must stop by the softball office in the Fitzgerald Field House on the first day of classes to pick up the walk-on packet in order to tryout. A coach must sign the packet before leaving the office. No player will be allowed to tryout without completing this paperwork. The packet will also give players detailed instructions of what they need to do before tryouts.
