U.S. Olympic Team Trials Results
OMAHA, Neb.--Pitt swimmers concluded action at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at CenturyLink Center on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Austin Caldwell competed in his first-ever Olympic trial, where he turned in a 24.30 performance in the 50 free.
Earlier this week, sophomore Luke Nosbisch swam in both the prelims of the 100 breast (1:06.40) and 200 breast (2:24.12). Classmate Jon Lierley posted a 2:04.70 effort in the 200 fly on Wednesday.
The U.S. Olympic Team Trials will continue through Monday, July 2. The first two swimmers to touch the wall in the finals of each Olympic trial qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London on July 27 through Aug. 12.
