College Prospect Academy / Goal Scorer & Goalkeeper Academy
PITTSBURGH - Pitt men's soccer head coach Joe Luxbacher has announced the spring dates for his Shoot to Score Soccer Academy. The two camps - the College Prospect Academy and the Goal Scorer & Goalkeeper Academy - will be held in March at the Charles L. Cost Center.
The College Prospect Academy will take place Sunday, March 11 (12-3:30 p.m.) for high school boys entering grades 9-12. The camp's goals are to guide and direct those who aspire to compete on the collegiate level. The Pitt soccer coaching staff, along with additional college and high school coaches, will lead the camp in a highly competitive training environment that introduces players to the dynamics of the college game. Both goalkeepers and field players are welcome and the cost is $115.
The Goal Scorer & Goalkeeper Academy for both boys and girls is split into two separate clinics specific to the player's position. The two-day camp will be held on Sunday, March 4 and Saturday, March 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day. The Striker Elite Scorer clinic is open to ages 7-15 while the GK#1 Goalkeeper Academy is for ages 10-15 (boys and girls). Players will be grouped by age and the tuition is $80 for each clinic.
All participants will receive a free academy t-shirt and instruction from the highly qualified staff.
