Softball Announces Walk-On Tryout Date For 2012 Season

PITTSBURGH--Pitt's Head Softball Coach Holly Aprile has announced a tryout date for walk-ons interested in playing during the 2012 season. The tryout will be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at Vartabedian Field at the Petersen Sports Complex. Those who wish to tryout must arrive no later than 10:30 a.m.
Due to the paperwork that needs to be completed, interested players must stop by the softball office in the Fitzgerald Field House no later than 4 p.m. on Aug. 29 to receive and fill out the walk-on packet to tryout. No players will be allowed to tryout without finishing this paperwork. Also, please make sure that a coach signs the paperwork before leaving the office. The packet will also give players detailed instructions of what they need to do before the tryout.
