Softball Announces Walk-On Tryout Date

PITTSBURGH—Pitt’s Head Softball Coach Holly Aprile has announced a tryout date for walk-ons interested in playing during the 2011 season. The tryout will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010 at Trees Field. Those who wish to tryout must arrive no later than 10 a.m.
Interested players must stop by the softball office in the Fitzgerald Field House before Sept. 1 to receive and fill out the walk-on packet to tryout. No players will be allowed to tryout without finishing this paperwork. Also, please make sure that a coach signs the paperwork before leaving the office. The packet will also give players detailed instructions of what they need to do before tryouts.
