Pitt 78, Seton Hall 57

Opening Statement...
“It was a great win, we played well today. When you have five players on your team in double figures it’s a good day. Chelsea [Cole] was a beast today getting the double-double again; she had 22 rebounds and 10 points. We’re realizing that we can jump and rebound, and that it’s fun. Today was a great all-around team effort.
Seton Hall pressed us in the first and second half, they were really working at it, but we just stayed composed. I’m really happy with the effort that we put forward. I was tracking everything. We wanted to breakaway with scores and rebounds, and we were able to.”
On getting an early lead in the game...
“We only had yesterday to prepare for the game today. Had we not jumped out to an 11-2 lead at Villanova in the beginning, we would have never won. You need to score, that’s how you pull away from teams. When you lead; shots get easier, defense is better and rebounds just happen.”
On Pepper Wilson...
“She had three great, awesome moves, she just missed her shot and we didn’t have anybody there to rebound. She’s doing a really good job despite her knee; I know it’s hard for her. I would have been more upset if she didn’t take the shots. We just need someone there to get the rebound.”
On the offense...
“The girls, they have confidence in each other now. They realize that this is their team. For us, everyone has to contribute. We’re a small team; we don’t have those twelve girls to pull from so our five players out on the court need to score.”
