Softball Hosts Buffalo on Wednesday

PITTSBURGH—The University of Pittsburgh softball team will take a break from conference action, as it hosts a mid-week doubleheader against Buffalo at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, April 14.
Senior Sam Card leads Pitt (16-21) with 11 doubles and 18 RBI, after recording a .455 batting average with two doubles and three RBI last weekend. Defensively, she holds a .981 fielding percentage and has caught 15 opponents attempting to steal base, this season.
On the mound, sophomore Cory Berliner leads the squad with a 1.83 ERA in 103.1 innings. She also boasts 71 strikeouts on the year. She ranks fifth overall on the career strikeout list with 220 to date.
The Bulls enter the doubleheader with an 18-17 record, after dropping two games to Ohio last week. Pitt leads the all-time series 3-0.
