PITTSBURGH (AP) -Shavonte Zellous and Xenia Stewart each scored 17 points and No. 19 Pittsburgh started the second half with an 18-2 run and went on to beat Western Kentucky 93-50 on Tuesday night.
Zellous, coming off a career-high 42 points in a loss to Florida, and Stewart helped Pittsburgh (10-2) finish its pre-January schedule with 10 victories for the third consecutive season.
Pitt had never won 10 games by the end of December until the 2006-07 season.
Taneisha Harrison added 13 points for Pitt, which needed less than six minutes to stretch a 37-24 halftime advantage into a 55-26 edge.
Kenzie Rich had 13 points, Hope Brown 12 and Amy McNear 11 for the Lady Toppers (7-5), who were outrebounded 55-33 while being held to 29 percent shooting (18-of-62) by Pitt.
