GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) -Sha Brooks had 24 points and eight rebounds and Lonnika Thompson added a career-high 16 points Sunday, sending No. 20 Florida past No. 16 Pittsburgh 90-83.
The Gators (11-1) won their 11th consecutive game and snapped Pitt's nine-game winning streak.
Shavonte Zellous scored a career-high 42 points for the Panthers (9-2). She was 13-of-24 from the field, 3-of-4 from 3-point range and 13-of-14 from the line. Zellous, who grew up in nearby Orlando, also had six assists and four rebounds.
Xenia Stewart added 15 points for Pitt. Stewart and Zellous helped the Panthers turn a 55-46 deficit into a 70-62 lead midway through the second half.
But Thompson hit three consecutive 3-pointers to put the Gators go back in front for good. Florida used some offensive rebounds, a couple steals and four free throws in the final minute to seal the victory.
