PITT-MICHIGAN STATE TO BE NATIONALLY TELEVISED BY ESPN

   PITTSBURGH--The University of Pittsburgh's Sept. 15 football game at Michigan State will be an ESPN nationally televised contest and kick off at noon, the network announced.

   The game will mark Pitt's first visit to East Lansing in nearly 50 years. The Panthers last played at Michigan State during the 1958 season.

   Pitt now has at least three contests that will be national telecasts. In addition to Michigan State, the Panthers will also play Navy (Oct. 10, ESPN) and West Virginia (Dec. 1, ESPN or ESPN2) on national television.           

   Pitt additionally announced kickoff times for its first two contests of the year at Heinz Field. The Panthers' Sept. 1 opener against Eastern Michigan will kick off at 6 p.m., while the Sept. 8 game with Grambling will start at noon.

   Additional kickoff times and television clearances will be announced at later dates.

   Pitt football is one of Western Pennsylvania's best entertainment values. To enjoy the pageantry of college football in one of the nation's finest stadiums, fans can purchase season-ticket packages ranging in price from $99 to $199. Seats in the amenity-filled club section are $315 (with commensurate Panther Club contribution).

   First-time customers or current season-ticket holders who desire additional tickets can take advantage of two new promotions for this season. The "1^st and 10" promotion provides fans the opportunity to buy one season ticket at full price and get the second for only $10.
