Pitt Football Announces 2026 Group Theme Schedule

PITTSBURGH–Pitt Football has unveiled its 2026 group theme schedule, a series of game day experiences designed to celebrate the region, engage key community groups and enhance the fan experience at Acrisure Stadium. Group tickets for all themed games will go on sale beginning May 5.
The 2026 group theme strategy aligns select home games with specific audiences across Western Pennsylvania and beyond, creating unique opportunities for organizations, businesses and community groups to connect with Pitt Football in a meaningful way.
Each themed game will feature targeted outreach, in-venue recognition and enhanced activations that bring each game's theme to life, furthering Pitt's commitment to delivering an unforgettable game day experience.
2026 Pitt Football Group Themes
Sept. 5 vs. Miami (OH) – Back to School / Educator Day
A celebration of the back-to-school season, this game will recognize educators, students, and school communities across the region. School districts will be encouraged to participate, with incentives for top-performing groups including rewards back to their districts and special on-field recognition at a future game.
Sept. 12 vs. UCF – Band & Spirit Day
High school bands, cheer teams, and spirit squads from across the region will take center stage, participating in game day performances and bringing unmatched energy to Acrisure Stadium.
Sept. 17 vs. Syracuse (Thursday Night) – Healthcare Night
Pitt Football will recognize the dedication and impact of healthcare professionals throughout the region, honoring those who serve our communities both on and off the field.
Sept. 26 vs. Bucknell – Golf Day
Celebrating Pittsburgh's rich golf tradition, Golf Day will feature themed activations and welcome members of the golf community, country clubs, and corporate groups for a unique game day experience.
Oct. 10 vs. North Carolina – Pitt Family Weekend
In coordination with the University of Pittsburgh, Family Weekend will welcome families of current students to campus for a full weekend of activities, highlighted by game day at Acrisure Stadium.
Oct. 31 vs. Georgia Tech – Hail to Heroes
A powerful tribute to military members, veterans, and first responders, Hail to Heroes will feature in-game recognitions and patriotic elements celebrating those who serve.
