Softball Set For Two Conference Road Matchups

PITTSBURGH--Pitt's softball team heads east for a pair of conference doubleheaders against Seton Hall and St. John's this weekend. First the Panthers face the Pirates at noon on Saturday in South Orange, N.J. Then, Pitt heads to Queens, N.Y. for another noon start against the Red Storm.
For Pitt, senior Sheena Hellon (Sacramento, Calif./Cordova) is the program's all-time stolen bases leader (55). Hellon has also provided solid production for the Panthers this season, leading the team in at-bats (144), hits (38), total bases (54), steals (22) and is tied for first in homeruns (3).
Seton Hall (11-27, 7-7 Big East) is currently led offensively by Kealan Waldron, who boasts team-highs in five different categories, including at-bats (104), hits (31), doubles (9), homeruns (4) and total bases (52).
Pitt swept Seton Hall in a home twinbill last year, but trail the Pirates 5-11 in the all-time series.
Against St. John's (14-29, 3-9), the Panthers are 5-9 in the all-time series. Last season, Pitt earned the split when it won game two, 5-2.
Roxann Struble leads the Red Storm at the plate, tallying eight homeruns and 28 RBIs on the year.
