PITTSBURGH--Pitt's softball team hosts Penn State, tomorrow, April 18, in a 2 p.m. doubleheader at Trees Field. This will mark the sixth meeting between both teams.
The Panthers (16-27, 2-9 Big East) resume their home stand, due to the postponement of games over the weekend. Leading the Panthers on the mound is senior Laura Belardinelli (Endicott, N.Y./Union-Endicott), who is one career win shy of tying the school record for victories (42).
Penn State (19-13, 3-1 Big Ten) returns to action after splitting its doubleheader against Northwestern, taking second game 6-5. In the series against Pitt, the Nittany Lions hold an undefeated streak and swept Pitt at State College last season.
