PITT-BOSTON U. POST-GAME NOTES

*Pitt surpassed the million fan mark this evening at the Petersen Events Center. With tonight's crowd of 9,433, Pitt has now had 1,002,095 fans attend games in the six-year old Petersen Events Center. Since the Petersen Events Center opened in 2002, Pitt has enjoyed 33 games with a 12,508 capacity crowd. Tonight's contest marks Pitt's 101^st consecutive sellout dating back to a January 12, 2002 game vs. Notre Dame.

*Ronald Ramon's five 3-point field goals tied a career high. He has accomplished the feat two other times (vs. Western Michigan, 11/12/06; at Rutgers, 1/8/05). His two steals set a season high. Ramon's three rebounds also tied a season high set against Mississippi Valley State (11/15/07).

*Sam Young finished the night with 14 points. He has scored in double figures in every game this season and reached double figures in 14 of his last 17 games played.

*Tyrell Biggs' two blocks tied a career best and marked the third time in his career that he has posted two rejections (vs. Duquesne, 12/6/06; Wisconsin, 12/31/05).

*Mike Cook registered a season-high six assists. His previous best was five against North Carolina A&T (11/10/07).

*Levance Fields' eight assists marked a new season high.

*Gilbert Brown's four total rebounds tied a career best.

*DeJuan Blair's 5-6 performance from the free-throw line marked career highs in both free-throw makes and free-throw attempts. His three blocks also eclipsed a career best.

*Cassin Diggs' four offensive rebounds set a career high and his four total rebounds tied a career high. Tonight marked the third time he has pulled down four total boards (North Carolina A&T, 11/10/07; Houston Baptist, 11/9/07).

*Pitt begins its season at 6-0 for the sixth consecutive year. The last time Pitt did not begin a season with a 6-0 record was in 2001-02.

*Pitt won its 25^th consecutive home game against a non-conference opponent. Pitt is approaching its school record of 28 consecutive home wins against non-conference opponents set from Nov, 23, 2002-Jan. 2, 2005.

*Pitt also improves to 53-1 vs. non-conference opponents at the Petersen Events Center. Additionally, Pitt has won 74 of its last 75 home games against regular season non-conference opponents.

*Pitt Head Coach Jamie Dixon improved to an undefeated 24-0 in games played in November. Combining his November and December records, Dixon owns a 53-2 record in pre-January contests and is now 55-3 vs. non-conference competition. Additionally, Dixon improved to 111-30 all-time as Pitt's head coach.

*Pitt also won the 30^th of its last 32 games against non-conference opponents.

*Pitt improves to 86-8 all-time in the Petersen Events Center. Head Coach Jamie Dixon now owns a 70-8 home record in his fifth season at the helm.

*Pitt improved to 75-5 in the last seven years against non-conference competition.

*Pitt improved to 6-0 vs. members of the America East Conference. Pitt and Boston U. met for the first time.

*Pitt held Boston U. to 45 points on the evening. This season, Pitt has held all six of its opponents under 70 points. Since Jamie Dixon became head coach, Pitt has held 118 of its 141 opponents under 70 points. Last year Pitt limited 31 of its 37 opponents under 70 points.

*The University of Pittsburgh athletic department announced that Saturday's Pitt-Toledo men's basketball game will be televised live on Comcast. Comcast digital subscribers in the Pittsburgh area may access the game on Channel 188 (CN8). Comcast subscribers living in other areas must contact their local cable provider for broadcast information. Tipoff for Saturday's game against Toledo is at 2 p.m. The broadcast was initiated through a partnership between the University of Pittsburgh, Comcast and ISP Sports. The telecast will be produced by the University of Pittsburgh's PantherVision Productions and distributed to Comcast.
