
Pitt Men's Soccer Tops Duquesne 3-1

INDIANOLA, Pa.-- Justin Boehm, Connor Malone and Shawn Wildman all recorded their first career goal as the Pitt men's soccer team defeated rival Duquesne 3-1 Wednesday night at Founders Field.

At the half, the Panthers defense had limited Duquesne to only four shots with two on goal.
The score remained 2-0 until the 62nd minute, when Wildman (
Duquesne responded 10 minutes later with a goal by Matthew Groves.
Pitt's effective defense kept Duquesne from scoring again and limited the Dukes to only seven shots in the second half.
Pitt improved to 2-10-2 while Duquesne dropped to 3-6-3.
The Panthers will be at home again on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 12 p.m., when they take on Big East opponent Providence for Senior Recognition night.
